does anyone have any experience with primary school wait lists?

my son was 4th in April and slowly moved up to 1st where he’s been the past 4 weeks. I’ve now been told today he is 2nd again which has made me lose hope.

I really wanted him to get in before September as I do not want to settle him and then move him but I’m really set on this school and worrying as there’s not long left before they start.

is it a very affluent area?
is this an outstanding school?

Thanks for replying! It is indeed a affluent area. The school is outstanding but all the schools are good in the area. Most other schools still have places now as it was a low birth year.

in that case, maybe some deciding whether to go private or not and will make decision when they have to put down first terms fees, which is imminent
