Hi

my 2.5 year old is starting nursery next week and need to get a lunchbox for him. I have been looking at the ones with compartments but just cannot decide. Please can someone help me decide and recommend one they use that works and washes well?

thank you

Mine had just a normal lunchbox and we had little boxes we put in with his name on. Found that the compartment ones weren't great as if you had anything juicy like cut up grapes, the juices went into the other bits and evening got a bit soggy.

Something they can open themselves If possible.

Just seen they are 2.5. But still, something easier to open. I have seen some children with boxes in cases and they can be quite hard to get the box out of the case.

Systema bento to go lunch box in a lunch bag (mine have them from frugi and marks and Spencer) lunch box gets put in dishwasher and lasts years. Lunch bags don't generally last as long but kids grow out of dinosaurs or unicorns and want a new one anyway. The lunch bag is so when they drop it or fail to shut the box properly their lunch isn't all over the floor
