Ideas for an activity?

Hello!

So I'd love some help please if anyone could offer any

I've got a job interview next week at a pre school, I've been asked to plan an activity for the children, I won't actually be carrying the activity out just have to talk the interviewers through it. I feel like my mind has gone completely blank of what I could plan! So I'm open to any suggestions/ideas please

Jubilee celebration?
Make crowns and flags, show the Queen on money, stamps etc, talk about Buckingham Palace, make Coronation Chicken (!)

My mind goes blank in that situation too. Given the choice of ANYTHING, there are so many things I could do I can't think of just one. Like Jam I narrow it down by thinking of a subject first, then the activity. Or sometimes I decide to use a particular thing/technique and go from there.

Remember activities are more than just art. Could be a play: Tell the story of Goldilocks with the help of a few props and a few children.

Big box building. Ask parents to bring in any sturdy boxes they have for a particular week in the future. Ideally good weather so you can keep them outside. Free building for a week, then with the children helping and a lot of duct tape turn them into a playhouse. When finished with it, a recycling activity.

If you're doing art remember to try it yourself first. Think how stuff is going to dry, have clean up things ready in case of emergencies, and start small first. If you think you can do it 4 children at a time it's better to do it with 2 first go and build up. Don't be afraid to change the activity if it's not going well.
