Nursery forms

I have a child who turned 2 in may. The other day I came home and some nursery forms were posted through my front door, they seemed to be from the local child’s centre which I’ve never attended so I wondered how they even knew I had a two year old. Today I have again received a letter this time posted and stamped (last time was hand delivered) with nursery forms again.

I wasn’t even sure if I would be sending dd to nursery and haven’t inquired anywhere and like I said I haven’t been to the children’s centre so just wondering if this is normal? Don’t remember getting any forms sent to me with my older child?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Our health visiting teams are based at the local CC so probably through that. We don’t have a nursery there though. Have you ever been to a stay and play session there? You have to register to use ours and attend.

No nothing at all. Haven’t seen the hv since dd was 8 weeks old! 🤔

I'm not that au fait since the cuts over the last couple of years, but prior to that all CCs had to keep a list of all new babies born in their reach area. They had a commitment to visit all families with newborns (think maybe within the first 8 weeks or something?) and then maintain contact afterwards, to offer services / let families know what was available.
It's nothing sinister, it's just ensuring all folk know what is available Smile

Thanks. I wasn’t worried just surprised they had my details when I’ve never been but thanks for clearing it up!
