Snacks at pre-school

What do your children tend to have as snacks at pre-school? I ask because lately ours seems to be getting quite lazy and giving "junk" instead of what is out on the board for parents to check.

A few examples are that board says cheese and crackers, they had mint chocolate chip ice-cream, board says fruit and yoghurt, they have a kit kat and raisins.

Do I need to complain, or ride it out until July when my DC leaves?

If they're leaving that soon, I wouldn't bother, though it is rubbish of the pre-school (and mad - because those things are loads more expensive!)

The snacks I've actually laid eyes on at DS's nursery include fruit (oranges, bananas) crackers and cheese, toast and raisins. When it was the xmas party to which parents were invited, they had chocolate buttons and crisps as well, but I assumed that was just becasue it was a special occasion... now I'm wondering!

Just fruit

At dd's playgroup, they all take a piece of fruit in, and it is shared round at snack time. They also have a drink of milk. Occasionally birthday cake, if it's someone's birthday and they've brought it in.

Fresh fruit, dried fruit, vegetables (carrot sticks etc), crackers and cheese, breadsticks, cereal with or without milk, toast, pasta, sometimes a plain biscuit or a cheesy biscuit.

Choice of milk or water to drink.

fruit, crackers or a biscuit. pancake pieces on pancake day etc. drink of milk or water, their choice.

I think ice cream and kit kat is terrible!
