Any flexibility on hours?

My daughter went to a private day nursery for about a year and split her 15 hours over 3 afternoons. She turned 3 last week and has started at the local catholic preschool. This is 5 mornings. We're both finding the 5 mornings really overwhelming, when she comes out from school she is tired and grumpy but obviously we still need to go places and do things. Are schools allowed to be flexible with the 15 hours as in doing 2 and a half days instead of the 5 mornings?

Schools are allowed to be flexible- but each school will have its own policy in order to best fill their places so you will have to ask them.

They’re allowed to be but don’t have to be. It will be their own policy based around what model works best for them.

As others have said, it's up to the school. I teach nursery and we offer mornings or afternoons. There's no option for mixing it up and parents who have asked have always been told a firm no.

However, we are massively oversubscribed so don't 'need' the children.
