Tapestry query

Hi there;
My dd is 30 months old and has been with her childminder just over a year who started her eyfs journey on Tapestry.

She now, from January this year goes to Pre-school and they also use this platform but I don't want 2 log-ons.

The childminder has added the Pre-school on as a "relative" so they can post things but the Pre school have emailed us saying they need permission to create my daughter an account - but we already have one!

I think the pre school are annoyed the childminder has to authorise their posts, makes no difference to me!

What’s the query?

Bellabutterfly2016 · 30/04/2018 22:39

Sorry!

I meant can a Tapestry account be linked with 2 providers in a different way?

I'm pretty sure it can.

I don't know how though! I'd get in contact with them.
I may be thinking of a different option where you can change from one provider to another but keep all of your observations.

Unfortunately you cannot have one tapestry account linked to two different providers. The only options are for each provider to have their own account, or for pre-school to add observations to the childminders account. However, the childminder could set them up as a staff member rather than a relative, which would give them access to the tracking and other back-end information that you usually don't see as a parent. However, she may not be comfortable with that as an option (understandably) although she would be able to restrict their permissions so they only ever see your child.
