Funding/moving nursery

My dd attends playgroup where she recieved her 15 hours a week.

My first choice school have offered dd a nursery place. As an academy, they give priority (when transferring to Reception class) to nursery children after siblings.
So i do want to move her.

My question is can the 15 hrs funding be transferred mid term?
Or does she need to wait til next term?

Thankyou

Not usually, you will probably need to wait as the funding is claimed termly

It depends on the terms and conditions of the funding for your county.

In my county, if you want to move funding after "headcount" day, parents have to prove that the current nursery is not able to meet their child's needs, or that they have moved too far away to be able to get to the current nursery.

It's done this way to ensure that nurseries who have organised their staffing for a particular number of children don't suddenly find themselves with more staff than they need, which they still have to pay for.
