3-4 years free hours question

Hello :)

My son currently goes to nursery to make use of his 570 hours of free hours.

We have spread this out over 51 weeks to keep consistency for him, So it works out as just over 11 hours a week.

We also pay for an additional 2 hours a week so that he's doing 2 full days.

Thing is, over the space of the year the "just over" bit works out as another 9 hours of free hours that he should be entitled to.

Might feel petty to question it but that's over 2 months of hours that we are paying for when he should be entitled to it?

Am I correct here? He's been at nursery since April, So I know it won't be that much for this year, But the next full year will be this full 9 hours.

Not 2 months sorry, 1 month.

Speak to the nursery. It may be that that's the only way they are allowed to stretch funding over 51 weeks and they won't get paid for any more hours.

Only they can answer how it works with their local authority.
