Small 'school' schoes

My dd is starting pre school on September, she will be 2.9. She is quite small so currently only size 5.5, had her measured and they said approaching a 6 so should be 6 by September. She needs smart black or navy ' school ' shoes for new preschool but clarks etc don't start until size 7. Any one know where i might find some? There are a few on start rite but quite girly with bows, flowers etc which I know she will not want to wear

Strange- my daughter has always had navy shoes since she was a size 4 onwards. One pair were Clarks, another was bo-bell and some were startrite. Start rite sizes are different though so a start rite 6 might be a clarks 6.5

Start rite tea party style are nice and I also like the Clarks lil folk range (as they are Velcro but still t bar style).

Next have nice mary janes in that size. And kickers go down to size 6 so the t bar kind might be suitable.

They both have buckles though so that might be a problem.

Thanks all, I've looked at the clarks lil folk range, smallest size is a 7. There are a few on start rite but quite expensive at 43 pounds. They don't even wear them inside they wear plimsolls. There is one pair at clarks in a 6 but are patent which I don't want because they will scuff and look scruffy. I'll keep looking at the other suggestions

Just to say that you're wrong with regards to patent, they don't scuff and stay looking nicer than standard leather.

Bobux? Maybe a bit pricey though.

Chipmunk shoes are good. We had these for my daughter when she started reception;

I agree that patent shoes stay new looking much longer than normal leather, contrary to what you'd expect. Don't need polishing either - just a wipe.

Sukitakeitoff · 04/09/2017 06:46

Oh and my daughter started reception with size 6 feet. We certainly had a more limited choice but always managed to find something.

Gizlotsmum · 04/09/2017 06:50

Don't discount patent. They really are more scruff resistant than you think and clarks do a patent paint for major scuffs

School shoes for two-year olds. I've heard it all now🙁 What's wrong with their normal outdoor shoes?
