Preschool hours

Hi

My son is currently at preschool and has a year left. He currently goes five mornings which he enjoys but I don't drive so I have to spend time in town to wait for him to finish and it is really getting to me.

There is an option for him to go two and a half days..Monday, Tuesday all day and Wednesday morning. This would suit me better. However will this affect him at all? Does anyone send their child to preschool at these times? How are they at settling in?

Thanks!

My daughter does Monday and Wednesday all day and Friday morning. She loved staying for lunch club. Works much better for us. I get 2 whole days to myself to get things done

My daughter is just about to leave preschool and go to reception. She's done 3 full days and a half day this year, and loves it. She's a bit tired towards the end of the week, but will be full time in school soon, and there is a quiet nap place at preschool if she needs it. It sounds like it would be better for you, so I would go for it

My dd won't start nursery until September 2018, and will have just turned 3, but at the moment I'm planning on a half day and two full days. Like you I don't drive, and we're in the suburbs, if she goes mornings/afternoons then I can't really do anything other than stay in the local area even going into our nearest town will be cutting it fine.

Loads of children go for those hours. Loads go for slightly more or slightly less. It will be fine. Do it Smile
