As you may have heard in the press the government is proposing drastic funding cuts for many nurseries from 2017 and all Nursery Schools across the country from 2019.
Please, please, please sign the petition below which relates to proposed funding
cuts for state-funded nursery schools nationally. These cuts would result in funding being approximately halved in two years’ time, meaning that none of the schools would be able to function as they do today. Most significantly, it would be impossible to employ qualified
teachers to run them.
A recent study by Save the Children www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-37827374 highlighted the importance of having qualified teachers in nurseries.
