missing playgroup

Hi my DD goes to playgroup 15 hours a week as of this term. What is the etiquette for missing sessions? We had a wakeful night, thought maybe a morning at home, but she wanted to go in so I took her in.
It's made me wonder, I know it's not compulsory, if she couldn't come in but wasn't ill is it ok to phone in and cancel that session.?

Just ring and tell them she won't be in and give the reason
They need to monitor absences if she gets the funding, it will be part of their safeguarding procedure

Happens all the time at this age but if you do it TOO often you could lose the funding. But it would have to be a lot of absence
