I've not done very well getting my 5yo to learn to read (in France so she has not learnt at school yet) but I am debating whether or not to get one of the LeapFrog reader set for my younger daughter's 3rd birthday in March. Hoping the 5yo might get some use out of it too before she starts CP in September and learns to read in French.
I'm hopeless with phonetics teaching myself (we have some resources, flashcards/books etc).
Any ideas? Also, what do I have to buy exactly - the electronic reader, books and pen?
