Lycée francais transition to 8+

Anyone with experience of prepping their lycee francais children for the English 8+, 11+ or 13+ exams? Was feeling quite smug about having got my boys in (5 and 3.5 years old now) only to realise that the french curriculum starts teaching reading, writing, maths & science about 2 years later than most English pre-preps. Which means the boys would need to be tutored to learn/catch up with the English curriculum (to French curriculum supporters, I'm not saying one is better than the other, just that they're different). I spoke with a couple of the most academic English prep schools, who said they have, in the past, taken 1 or 2 lycee children - so it does happen! Any shared experiences most welcome, thanks.

Post this in primary education rather than preschool to get a response...

Oh dear I just tried and accidentally copied it out again. Technically inept...
