So, does anybody know what the consequences would be should ofsted discover a charity run preschool has a chairman who is unable to pass a CRB/DBS check AND has his own key to enter the building whenever he likes?

Surely they have been informed he has applied to be chair via the ey3 forms ?
What did they say ?

Well, that I don't know. What I do know is that he was voted on as chair in April of this year and still doesn't have his checks completed. I feel very unc

Phone ofsted , the previous chair cannot relinquish responsibilities until the current chairs checks are done.
I would have major concerns if he cannot pass a DBS check as would ofsted.
They wouldn't necessarily close the pre school as they have the authority to act on a case by case basis but he cannot be the chair without passing a DBS.
