When will my dd start pre school/school

My daughter was born 2nd of sept 2011 when would she have to go to nursery and full time school? When are the cut off dates? Thanks

She will start school September 2016 and be one of the oldest. Preschool depends on what is available locally with different start times depending on what is offered.

I'm in Wales, she'll start nursery the term after her 3rd birthday, so January 2015 (in theory anyway, some schools only have a September intake, ours did the year that dd1 started)

Ah hadn't thought of you being in Wales which I know has different times for school starting.

You can apply anytime. Dd2's name went down when she was a few weeks old , the school decide on nursery places, then you apply for reception in the January before starting, you apply to the school but it's your LA who allocate places. They'll have criteria on their website - they'll decide based on catchment, siblings already at the school, SN and distance. Dd1 doesn't go to our catchment school but we're still within walking distance.
