Ds's is at 8... Is this quite common?

Blimey, I'd struggle that early! Dc is tricky to get out of the house. Mine's 9.15. is it private or council run? Maybe it makes a difference? I don't know.

Dds was at 9.30 then when free hours extended it became 9, many parents were late if the dropped sibling off at schools further away.

Ds's private daycare nursery opened at 8, which meant I could drop him off before taking dd to school. Might be good for working parents especially with older kids.

DS1 does afternoon sessions but the morning session at his preschool starts at 8.30. This is common here to allow parents to drop off older siblings at school afterwards.

9

It is a bit of a struggle :). Getting used to it though and there's parking as its so early which is a bonus.

8.50. We are encouraged to stay til the bell goes at 9.

MoaningMingeWhingesAgain · 06/09/2012 22:51

8.45 but arriving late is fine. They like you to ring if you will be later than around 9.30 though. I love our preschool. £9 for 3 hrs

Doors open at 8.40. Parents can, and are encouraged to stay until 9.00.

Rosesinmyhair · 07/09/2012 09:39

Mine was 9:30. TBH this would be ideal for working parents

Pyrrah · 07/09/2012 18:45

The current private nursery you can do 8-6 or 9-4 but it doesn't matter what time you actually turn up.

The nursery attached to the primary school that DD starts at in 3 weeks wants them there at 8.55 for a 9.00 start.

plipplops · 08/09/2012 08:47

9.10, but you can arrive from 9 (the adjoined school starts at 8.50am)
