My DD is just about to leave her lovely little preschool which has nurtured and given her more confidence than I ever thought possible. It's entirely down to them that she's ready for big school and I want to thank them somehow for everything they've done.
I can do the presents for teachers thing - I'm just wondering about a present of some kind TO the actual preschool? Anything in particular spring to mind that's useful for the sort of stuff that preschools excel at....
Any ideas?

Well as a member of staff at a preschool, things that we have received for the preschool are generally things that remind us of the child. So for instance we had a very active little girl who loved tents and dens etc so her parents got us a tunnel. A popular choice is books, often copies of the child's favourite book. We had a very musical family who gave us some new books with music CDs attached.

PS please write them a card expressing how you feel about their preschool and what it meant to you and your dd...it will make their day Smile

When DD left school, we gave them a plum tree, as they have a lovely large garden and cook their own meals, this year when DS leaves I am torn between garden vouchers or amazon vouchers so they can get something that theu want and need.

Please write a card telling them how you feel- we value these the most and we keep them in an album.

We received an Amazon voucher from three of our children who left at Easter which was fantastic. There is so much on Amazon other than books that I'm sure the pre-school would be able to find something they wouldn't necessarily buy and it would be a lovely reminder of your daughter.

Chocolates also go down well!! Smile

Amazon it is then.
