Hello all, we're moving to Hitchin in the next coupe of months-
my DS is 3 and very creative, me and OH are both designers and hoping to find a school that really looks at the creative development of the child?
Can anyone help?
Also, are there any Montessori schools in the area?
thanks a million (:

I grew up in Hitchin, family still there.

Strathmore used to be very creative, not so sure now.

Avoid William Ransom. It's like SATs boot camp. Allegedly.

No idea about Montessori, sorry.

Have a look at Schoolsfinder, read the Ofsted reports and go and visit.

Good luck Smile

Just outside Hitchin, in Letchworth, is St Christopher's. It's Montessori the whole way through to yr 6. Is private though.

Do you already have somewhere to live? Most schools in Hitchin are over subscribed (William Ransom has 4 applications for every 1 place available), so realistically you will only have a chance of getting into a chosen school by living close (and in some cases, very close) to it.
