I'm just doing an order off amazon and need some suggestions for DS please! (and don't tell me to go to a library because I'm not in the UK so have no access to English books)

He's 2 yrs and 3 months. He loves Room on the Broom and the Thomas and 10 balloons book. He also likes the Gruffalo and a Thomas and Friends "Thomas' really useful word book". I did get him some of the other Donaldson books, but I must admit I wasn't very impressed with them (whale and snail, cave baby etc). He also has aliens love panta claus which he's not very interested in.

He's a bit rough with his books so I'm a bit reluctant to buy him paper books, but as far as I can see he's getting a bit old for board books. We have a book in French that has plasticised pages (they're almost as thin and flexible as paper, but they're coated so they're not as easy to bend or tear) have you ever seen any of these in the UK? He has a couple of lift the flap books, but he just tears the flaps off so I've confiscated them!

Any suggestions? (preferably of ones that won't send me crazy reading them and re-reading them for the next 6 months!) Thanks.

Rod Campbell's farm-based books also very popular! And YY to going on a bear hunt, I loved that as a child and love that now DD loves it too! Smile

It's worth you looking for the book people's website, they do lots of preschool. Box sets which are v good value.

The Alfie books are still going strong in my house and DS is 4 now.

His fav books at 2.5 were There's a Shark in the Park, and the Dirty Bertie books.

TBH though, I'd just head to a bookshop and see what takes your fancy!

My now-two-year-old loves the Moomin books,

Moomin and the Birthday Button

Moomin and the Winter Snow

They're really charming.
