EYFS point scores - what's "average"

My DD is starting Reception in Sept, and is summer born (July). I have just received her "Nursery Summer 2" point scores and have no idea how she compares to the national average - she has:

PSE1: 4
PSE2: 3
PRN1: 4
PRN3: 3
CLL1: 2

And 1s for everything else.

Taken in the round is this below average, average or above average - I have absolutely no idea - I don't really understand it all!! I don't place much store in all this but if it looks like she's struggling I'd like to know.

If you are getting point scores before the end of the reception year, ignore them IMO. Actually, you shouldn't even be getting point scores until the end of the reception year.

Agree! the profile is a "summative" assessment meant for the end of reception year not for the end of pre school/nursery

Some schools (my last school included) do use the profile in nursery. My previous head reasoned it was to make transition to reception easier for the teacher, NOT the child! They should be matching the children to the development matters criteria, not the profile. However, just to reassure you.... Children are meant to have an average of 6 points for each area of learning by the end of reception.
