New to this and probably should start my own thread but hoping OP wont mind me digging backing. Interesting about being prepared for 2 weeks as mentioned above, never thought about this before. Do you have huge amounts of storage? I live in a flat so barely have space for that amount of food and water! Eek!
I always have a really good store of tinned foods, frozen veg, frozen home made soup, bread, milk, lentils, chickpeas, nuts, different types of beans.

I am lucky that I have a freezer in my outside shed but it's suprising how much food you can fit in other places. On top of cupboards, wardrobes etc, under the bed.

We were snowed in about 40 years ago for a week and after that we have always made sure we have a good stock of food. We didn't even live in a remote part of the country.

We do a big shop about every 2 months or so. We did one yesterday and I reckon with stuff we already had we easily have enough food for around 3 months if not longer.

We are both vegetarian so eats lot of things like lentils, beans etc. Lots of meals can be made with them and they don't take up much room

@CaMePlaitPas

small flat dweller here.

storage:
under/behind sofa
behind kick boards in kitchen if not too damp
behind bath panel
top of cupboards
small unit next to loo. (they sell them specifically)
behind books on shelf
next to/on top/under wardrobes/cupboards etc. (in pretty boxes for things like sanpro)

If you were really pushed for space, shelving above doorways? It's often a dead space that isn't made use of. Nice boxes could be used to pretty it up, or stuff from existing cupboards could be moved to here to free up that cupboard space?

Sparkling spring water is not available and hasn't been for more than a month.
