Fixed agriculture is interesting in terms of prepping too, to be safe enough to start farming again would be the goal but interesting that it's actually the breakdown of collective living. I would share everything and work as hard as I could but in reality in modern living though that doesn't fly. I cannot work hard enough or produce enough to help all those in need in my local town let alone the whole of humankind. I can contribute through hard work taxation voluntary work and being in a caring profession but I still live well better than average because of a combination of luck and hard work. I would have loved to have lived in the 60's when they tried collectives and so believed they would work before reality and human nature bit them on the arse. Psychologically perhaps that's the appeal of prepping for me the idea that we can rewrite a new world order a fairer one filled with hard working communities pulling together.
