Where to buy reasonably priced tiny clothes?

A girl I know is due in a few weeks, but they are estimating the baby only to be around 4lb at term. Has anyone got any suggestions as to where to buy clothes? She is very very short of money so as cheap as chips possible would be great; have googled and seem to be averaging £12 for anything She certainly can't stretch to that and I am a bit skint myself or I would buy some things for her.

Sorry bit of a ramble

TIA.

Does she mind second hand? I had tiny babies who are quickly outgrowing stuff so can send it to you if you like?

mothercare and boots both do tiny baby stuff

ebay?

suiledonne · 22/06/2010 20:34

My local Tesco has the babygros and bodysuits/vests in tiny baby size.

Mothercare do a reasonably priced 3 pack, or try Ebay - there seems to be a number of very reasonably priced bundles on there

Thank you for the suggestions

Duncan if you wouldn't mind that would be so so fantastic, would be so appreciated. My email address is honeyfromhell @ hotmail dot com, if you want to email me, and we can arrange postage and monetary things.

My twins were 3 and 4lbs and I bought bundles of stuff of ebay, definately cheap as chips and normally hardly worn.

TESCO, my babys were 5lb 7 & 3lb1, & i found that tesco was brilliant. Also mothercare & boots, but ther more exspensive.

My 2 were 2lb 9 and 2lb 11. Initially in NICU they didn't need any clothes but once in SCBU at 32 weeks they did. Prem clothes cost a bomb and only fit for 5 minutes so I found Tesco tiny baby range to be the best value and the nicest xx
