Born at 24 weeks 3 days

Katherine is now 5 days old and tiny. Really scared about every day and even every hour.

Any one out there experienced anything like this? Would appreciate any advice/support.

Oh gosh she is so gorgeous! So nice to see so many pictures, how she has changed from a tiny little ting to such a beautiful little girl! You are all doing so well!

just saw the latest pics of Katherine, she is growing beautifully . It is strange to think she has been out in the real world for a few weeks while my DD is still cooking for another couple of weeks.

Well she's 10 weeks old yesterday (outside age) and 36 weeks old tomorrow (inside age). Home is within our grasp and we're on the home straight now after 10 weeks living at the hospital. Seems an eternity.

It is strange how she's changed from a scrawny wee thing to my little chubster.

Yep, should send DH back (or packing) and keep my little red headed darling

SparklyGothKat I wish I knew! Sometime in the next 4 weeks. It's really down to her. She can keep her own body temperature and is well on her way to being bottle fed. This leaves only 1 out of the 3 essential criteria for going home; she needs to get her oxygen weaned down.

When we've achieved the whole set, then I'll be making her crib up

Can't wait!

Hi ladies,

We're coming home! All being well, Katherine will be coming home this coming Monday, so I'm rooming in this Sunday.

Been a bit mad past couple of weeks as she's had laser eye surgery on both of her eyes with stage 3 ROP. Hopefully we're moving in the right direction and she won't need anymore treatment now.

Will keep you updated when she's home

thanks ladies. It's been one heck of a journey...and it's not over yet!

It was Katherine's 100 day birthday yesterday so we really figured it's about time she was coming home. However, as best laid plans etc. her eyes needed the operation but fingers crossed and all that.
