Hi,
My baby was born at 33 weeks. She stayed 4 weeks in Nicu. All was OK. She is just gone 10 months old corrected age. My reason for this thread is because I am worried about her not turning around to her name. She had a check up with her paediatric yesterday and he was pleased with her and said 10 months is young to be responding to name. Her health visitor was happy with her development. She turns to noise and when you tell her no. An odd time when it is very quite and she is not distracted She will respond to her name. It just when I look online and research it they say that babies should be responding to their name by 6 to 10 months. She is babbling, simles, eye contact, laughing, crawling, standing, cruising, sitting. Just wondering should she be responding to her name and what age did your baby respond. Thank you.😊

Mine is 18 months - talks and walks and is very animated, engaged, smiley and responsive and still erratic in responding to his name - I'm interested in responses.

I had the same worries with my 32 weeker as she was only rarely responding to her name at ~10mo corrected. She’s now almost 11.5mo corrected & responds most of the time, except when she’s really focused on a toy. I really started to notice an improvement around the 11mo mark
