Hey mamas,
was wondering if there are any 27weeker mamas out here?
my twins born at 27week now 9months 6months corrected are thriving with weight gain etc but I start to kind of worry about their development.
would love to hear from mamas in my shoes🫶🏻

Not quite your shoes but my daughter was born at 24weeks so have likely been on a similar journey and had the same worries as you. She is 3 now.

Our hospital was very pro-active and did Bayley testing to monitor development every 6 months. Touch wood the only thing my daughter was delayed on was beginning to walk which then impacted the timing of potty training. Other than that you'd never know she was an ex micro- preemie.

Sorry I've only just seen this. Yes, I also had 27 week twins, boy & girl. They were signed off by the hospital age 2, we'd had various development / monitoring tests before then. Boy had to wear glasses from 3 and saw a speech therapist for about 6 months at 3.5 (the girl did all the talking and he had a slight stutter as he was trying to get his words out too quickly) but not sure if there was a link to prematurity. Late teens now, both excelled at school, boy very sporty (6ft 2), both now at uni. You'd never know they were premature. Good luck x
