Hello Everyone, rarely post but a long term reader. I have so many questions but don’t see my consultant till middle of June so I thought I’d ask on here as googles been no help. I had a cervical cerclage placed 10 days ago and although I am and have been back to all activities (bare sex swimming and baths) since day 2 of having it placed I am still feeling a lot of pain and can feel it’s there, I have a very active almost 2 year old so rest isn’t really an option lol if anyone could answer any of my questions it would be so lovely and appreciated

  1. Is it normal to feel that the stitch is there? I have some bruising type pain on my stomach which I feel if I touch my stomach, I almost feel aware there’s like almost a ball feeling in my cervix
  2. is it normal to need to see so much since having it placed I’m constantly weeing
  3. when is the stitch removed and is it painful to be removed?
  4. does the stitch cause any long term complications like scarring in the cervix. Ngl I am worried I may end up with scars up there. Will it impact sex life longer term?

thank you so much for any answers in advance. Feeling very alone with this as I wasn’t prepared for it at all the hospital forgot to send my referral to the pre term clinic till a week before they discharge you and I was only seen 5 days before I had the operation as they didn’t realise I had an incomplete cervix till then and the operation was performed 2 days before my cut off point to have it.
