I never found that there was too much on here but there is a brilliant facebook site for parents in the UK called parents of preemies support UK that I found so helpful.
Having said that I’ve had a baby who was in NiCU and I’m here.

@Cbljgdpk thanks for your reply. I dont have facebook but I am sure there will be things online. Just nice to be able to relate to people and speak to people. I hope your NICU experience was a good one x

Maybe it's time to start your own thread, for this!

My baby was only in NICU 5 days (a somewhat unexpected admission - she was a 36 week baby, but we had feeding issues that weren't picked up until she was already very ill), however it was clear that it's a very surreal bubble, especially for those who have babies before 30 weeks, and are in for a long haul.

I was told that 1 in 8 babies will hand some NICU time, though, so there will definitely be plenty of encouragement and support on hand.

@CadyEastman trying my best to muddle through this chapter, thanks for asking. Once I find my feet, I can reach out to some support services. I think im just living off adrenaline at the moment

I bet you are!

Do you want to tell us a bit more about your lovely new LO and their arrival? Flowers

Hope you're both doing okay.

Take particular care of yourself if the "baby blues" hit - the both-birth hormonal chaos that nakes you extra-emotional on top of post-birth recovery and coping with the feelings about how your baby is doing... it was rough for me.

Hello 😊. I have 16 week old triplets who were born at 28 weeks and 2 days gestation. They spent 72 days in the NICU and we have been home for 5weeks now.
I really struggled with our time in the NICU and as we were the oldest residents there during our time I saw so many families come and go which made me feel very alone as no one who could relate to my situation.
Every day was an emotional rollercoaster so I completely understand how you’re feeling. I hope you, your family and baby are doing as well as you can be xx
