I have just had my 28 weeks appointment and I having slightly raised blood pressure and some protein in my wee. I had pre eclampsia with my first baby at 38 weeks but this time I am pregnant with twins. They said they are going to check my blood pressure again next week to see if I have it. I am so scared as cannot bear the thought of my baby girls being born at 29 weeks. Has anyone else been through this with twins? I am so scared and worried :(

Don't worry you wouldn't be induced for possible pre-eclampsia now. My understanding is the hospital would very much want you to get to close to 35 weeks unless it was super severe and a threat to you because the risk of the babies being born so early outways the risks of pre-eclampsia at this stage.
I'm having a c-section next week at 33.5 weeks for my twins as I've got very severe Obstetric Cholestasis and there was previous fears about P-E (which luckily I don't have, and a bit of protein for me turned out to be nothing) and the doctors spent a couple of weeks weighing up the risks/benefits before a suggested date was put forward.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have been given a consultant appointment this Thursday to check the babies and me, they will start discussing the next stages so hopefully I will have a clearer picture then. How exciting that you get to meet your twins next week, good luck with everything. 😊

Hopefully they've given you protein tester sticks so you can keep testing at home?

Yeah I have had my appointment, they are going to be checking my blood pressure every week from now on to keep an eye on me but they are definitely trying to avoid taking the twins out anytime soon unless any of us start getting poorly. Thank you for checking in ❤️

No they haven’t given me anything like that, I will call my midwife today and ask about them. Thank you

It's good that they're still in there and that they will be keeping an eye on all of you. Keep us updated on how you get on Flowers

I had my twins at 30 weeks, sounds scary but anything over 28 weeks is a lot safer in terms of long term impacts from prematurity. My 2 were certainly not anything to worry about medically for the NICU staff.
They're 13 now and you wouldn't know how tiny they were.
Glad everything seems to be going well atm.
Have you had steroids to help with the babies lungs ?
