Pre term birth & development delay?

My baby was born by emergency c section at 36 weeks. He was very small at just over 4lb. He is now 20 weeks old. He can smile & laugh & is meeting other milestones, however when doing tummy time he can’t lift his head or chest. We practise everyday & I’ve used a tummy time pillow & put things in front of him to get his attention. Just wondered if any other early / small babies had this issue and what you did to help?

Ds was born at 35 weeks. Never did tummy time as no such thing with my older dc! He hit the usual milestones as expected.. Walked just before he was a year..

DS, now 3, was born at 30 weeks. He was like this for a while and we just gave him the chance to practice every day. We also tried those black and white photo cards to grab his attention, he loved those.

My first wasn't early, he was 38 weeks but he never did tummy time either. Pleased to report that he's physically very able and quite bright
