Bony head...

My twins were born at 34+5 - little twin was only 4lb compared to big twin over 6lb - they are now 4 weeks old but little twin has a very bony head - has anyone else experience that? And did it go away as their head grew?

Not sure what you mean about it being bony. Have you got any pictures? Can understand if you don't want to share photos though.

Do you mean there is a ridge? Is it at the top of the skull ? Put a photo on here if you want to, my DS was born with a skull abnormality (craniosynostosis) which was corrected by surgery - ask for a check up by your GP or hospital doctor.

ask for a check up by your GP or hospital doctor. This sounds like good advice Smile

Hi all it's a bony protrusion at the back an inch or so away from the ear.....not a ridge more like a bump but to be honest over the last week or 2 now she is starting to chunk out it looks like it's going down as her head grows?

My little girl had this. She was born at 40+2 and had a lump on the back of her head.

It was checked a few times and no one was concerned, apparently it happens.

She's 2 now and you can't see it or feel it any more. It kinda flattened out as she grew around it.

@Twizbe

Thanks! I was really worried at first as it became more obvious as she has a lot of hair but with it sticking out it was obviously rubbing so was a little Bald spot but she's finally starting to grow and seems like it's definitely going down now
