What was your reason for it ? Mine ? No reason whatsoever and was wondering if anybody had another preterm baby after PRROM?

I think with ds 1 it was because I tested positive to strep group B. I went over due with ds 2.

No reason found, my previous birth was an elective csection.

FraterculaArctica · 20/11/2020 19:29

Yes, I've had 2, no obvious reason. This was after an overdue DC1 who was EMCS. DC2 was born at 35+2, 24 hours after PPROM. DC3 was born at 33+4, after PPROM at 31+5. They were both very easy labours!

Tomatoandbasil · 20/11/2020 19:31

First baby was at 35 weeks with PPROM. Currently pregnant and worried it will happen again! No reason with DC1.

elliejjtiny · 20/11/2020 23:19

I've had it twice (with dc4 and dc5). Mine was because I have Ehlers danlos syndrome.

Both my daughters have had premature rupture of membranes due to hEDS.

Older daughter: 38wks, 37wks, 33wks
Younger daughter: 34wks

No idea with DC1. PProm at 30 weeks exactly.

Today I'm exactly 30 weeks with DC2 and currently still pregnant so hoping this one cooks a bit longer...!

Every medical professional I've seen says oh it's just one of those things...yeah one of those things that resulted in weeks in hospital, operations and health issues for my baby Hmm

It's hard not knowing why, but the odds seem to be in favour of going longer next time. Good luck!
