35 week old feeding

How long did it take your 35 week old to feed properly on his own? He’s just started latching and feeding in last couple days but only for 5/10 minutes at a time so still needs help feeding through a tube. It’s the only thing stopping us going home

My twins were born at 35+1. One had a complex medical situation so not really relevant but the other only needed help feeding - we took him home at 17 days old with his tube still in place. He couldn’t latch properly despite my best efforts - after a few days at home trying to feed him, having to top up every feed via his tube, struggling with testing that his tube was in properly, pumping etc I started bottle feeding and we were able to lose the tube after a few days.

My daughter "got" feeding just shy of 36 weeks. But when it really clicked she progressed rapidly- tube was out 24h later, we were home 48 hrs later.
