Hi all I'm 34*4 today and my waters went at 32 weeks. I've had steroids and antibiotics and am just having to wear a pad all the time as my waters will continue to leak until I give birth. Because I'm wearing a pad all the time it's irratating the area down there and making me swollen. Thought it could be thrush but can only use the cream and not the pessasary as my waters have gone but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Does anyone have any advice ?

Speak to your midwife ASAP.

@RainbowFlowers

Speak to your midwife ASAP.
She's just told me to keep using the thrush cream or to use some vasaline on the area

If you’re using disposable pads could you try reusable ones?

KingOfDogShite · 04/08/2020 19:25

I had pprom with both mine and got very sore after a while from having to wear sanitary pads and also from obsessive wiping Blush

Trying Vaseline May be a good idea Smile

To be honest it sounds a lot like nappy rash. Do you have any Sudocreme? It's bloody amazing stuff. If you haven't I strongly recommend it for your baby!

Could you sit on a towel with nothing on your bottom half when you get the chance? Maybe on an evening whilst watching TV etc? I had this after the birth, it was the worst part of the recovery, that constant chafing 😬

Also are your waters leaking so heavily that you can't just wear big knickers and change a few times a day?

@GreenLeafTurnip has just reminded me that I used metanium on mine. It is exactly like nappy rash 😬
