How long do they correct for?

Hi I have a nearly 1 year old who was born at 34+5 at 4lb 15oz. He's now 21lb and 72cm. How long does he get plotted back for on the charts?
If he was full term he would be 2nd for height and 50th for weight. As they plot back he's 25th for height and 60th for weight. I know this sounds terrible but if he's 2nd centile for height will he be really small as an adult? I know some small men get the piss taken and if he does I'll feel really bad for him.

They use corrected age until their 2nd birthday.

I think your adult height is based on your parents height rather than being premature

I'm 5 foot 3 and his dad is 5 foot 7 so both smallish. He's alot like my dad's family though and they are tallish. I know there's no point worrying but I don't want him to be unhappy

I’m not sure when they stop correcting on the growth charts but please try not to worry. My DD2 was born at 23 weeks and dropped off the centiles completely at one point. She’s ten now and a respectable 75th centile for height. He might not end up small at all in the long run!

He fits comfortably in 9 to 12 clothes too. All this prematurity puts me off having another and time isn't on my side

Thery stopped correcting my son at 12 months.

He started in the 0.5 percentile for weight and is now in the 95! We were told he would always be small but he is now in the 75 for height.

But I'm 5.8 and dad is 6ft.

You have no way of knowing how tall he will be and you can't change it, so no point worrying. My parents are both short, I'm tall, my bro is short.

Ds was born at 35 weeks, weighed 4-12 when he went home at a week old. I am 5'4 and dh is 6'4.. Ds was in his baby clothes way way over the size guide. He is 4 now and in age 4 stuff at last. Try not to worry.
