Do you send a Christmas card to the NICU?

I was thinking of sending a Christmas card and some photos to the NICU DS spent the first seven weeks of his life in.
Actually, I'd love to send them a short video of DS having a laugh with his dad, the contrast between the struggling baby he once was and the happy little boy he is now would be appreciated by the nurses who remember him, but I don't know how to send it to them.

Have you ever sent an update of your DC to the NICU, or do you send a card and some pictures regularly?

My dd was in there for nearly 3 weeks last Christmas. We are going to take in a card and some chocs for the staff as well as a load of tiny baby clothes we have left over.

Re the video - could you send it via either the hospital Communications team and ask them to forward it to the nnu, or if your local nnu has a cahrity attached to it you could email it to them and ask them to share it with the nnu staff?

Our local nnu has an annual Christmas party and the staff seem overjoyed to see the babies as they grow up.

DD will be coming with us when we make the visit. However, I remember that they kept an album of 'then and now' pics in the family room to show how well previous patients had come on. You should def send a card and a few photos. If they have an email address you could email a vid.

I'll have to see if I can get the communication team's email address to send a video, I didn't think of that.
I would love to go and take DS along, but I really can't face going there, the thought makes me weak at the knees, so it'll have to be either a card or the video!

I sent a Christmas card the first few years and a little video of DD2 that I made. She was in the NICU for four months. I took her back once for a visit but did get rather weak at the knees!

I work on a Neonatal unit. We love getting cards, with photos showing the progress babies have made.
To be honest, on my unit, we would struggle to view a video. The computers are slow and may lack the software to play a video, plus youtube is blocked.
