So..my gorgeous lb is 1 tomorrow..so why do I feel a bit sad? Keep coming back to his birth (prom then emcs where I ended up having a general cos I could feel too much) and just can't quite get rid of the sad feeling Hmm

Happy Birthday to your baby!

I think it's really normal for an anniversary to trigger you to think about the whole event. And in your case there are scary things associated with that event. The birthday should be in 7 weeks time not now so it's all bound up together.

In a way you are grieving for the full term stressless birth we all hope for.

Accept that you have some stuff to process and don't feel guilty about that. Have a little weep for the frightened you of a year ago. And then celebrate getting through it.

Hope you both have a nice day.

Glad you had a lovely day. I can remember my 33 weeker being one and it was a strange mix of emotions tbh. It gets easier as the years go by.
I will be celebrating my other 33 weeker turning one soon but at least I know what to expect this time Grin

My 33 weaker is 7 now and I still well up regularly thinking about the birth and the early days. I don't think it ever leaves you.

Anyway, on a happier note Grin glad you had a lovely day and happy birthday to your wee one.
