What would you recommend putting in the hospital birth bag for a planned early induction?

I'm currently 30 weeks with my first baby who is measuring small for dates. Drs have talked about inducing early depending on how the scans go. If it looks like she is safer out than in then she might be induced super early.

If you had the chance to plan early would you put anything different in your hospital bag?

Feel free to state the obvious as I'm feeling pretty out of my depth

I was told I would go into labour early and I did. I was on bedrest from 26 weeks so with time on my hands I packed:
micro nappies
cotton wool
clothing for baby (tiny baby)
muslin cloths, changing matt, nappy bags and anti bac wipes to clean with for when baby came onto the ward with me.
I packed "normal" clothes for me. I got into a routine of getting up and changed as we were in for a week.
I packed travel size shampoo ect and a hair dryer.
Hand cream and make up. Snacks and painkiller. I was forgotton about a few times on the ward...
All the best but hope you do not need it.

Over 30 weeks is ok you know, plus if you have the steriod injections that will make a huge difference. Bliss charity are good to talk to.

a really good book. I found it very lonely on the postnatal ward without my baby and it was nice having something to read. Food, I often missed meals because I was in scbu. More than one set of pj's for you. Notebook and pen to write down what the drs etc say. Good luck.

Some good suggestions. I'd add a gloopy amazing hand moisturiser to limit the damage from all the hospital nicu hand sanitisers, and, if you'd like to bf contact details for yr local milk bank who can donate bm for yr dd, I'd also pack some bottles of lemon barley water as it is frankly miraculous in terms of kickstarting your own supply. Totally understand why you are worrying but modern medicine is amazing. Dd was a 27 weeker and now at two utterly rules the roost! Im also trying to work out how to wean her off bfing.

When I went in for planned section I packed two bags - 1 small one with just the stuff I would need straight away, e.g. first baby clothes a few nappies and a hat, my pjs, kindle, wash bag etc and left a bigger bag with more baby clothes, nappies, my clothes etc for DP to bring in later, once I was settled on the post natal ward.

Make sure to bring LOTS of sanitary pads and extra pants! Our hospital was so warm too that all my cozy nighties were too hot and I lived in a vest and shorts.
