One year check for prem baby due today, advice of what to expect please?

Hello, just wondering if anyone can shed any light of what to expect today.
HV coming at 10am and am getting worried.
DD almost 8 weeks prem, one year check postponed until near 'due date birthday'.
She is not yet crawling, or standing or anything, and has only just in the last few days managed to sit up herself.
She is still under the SCBU follow up clinics at the hospital, and is due another check next month (hasn't been seen there since Dec)
She is doing really well herself, but just not sure what to expect today.
Will they have a checklist for prem babies? Or will she be compared to term babies?
Any advice greatly appreciated. What should i be asking/not asking?

My twins were 7 weeks early and only just sat up before they were 1. My HV kept saying they are no longer classed as prem after 12 months which is aload of poop as they don't suddenly have a birthday and catch up !! The paeds said they are treated as peeks up until 2.5 when they should have caught up - mine walked just before their 2nd birthdays.

Try not to worry! My prem baby is now 17 and absolutely no problems. Medical profession never seemed to make allowances for her being premature which I was always miffed about. Schools never took any notice either! good luck!

Hello again, I remember you from this time last year. I hope all is well

glad the appointment went well. Are you still followed up by the hospital at all. I only ask as in effect I discharged myself from the whole HV system as my son was being seen at the child development clinic. As such he has had no checks elsewhere which suited us. being followed up at the CDC is a mixed blessing though. They worry us stupid everytime we see them and have given us some provisional diagnosis for DS, but then we also get a lot of extra physio as DS was not sitting independently at 7-8 months corrected age.

Just by way of info, DS is now 12 months and 1 week corrected. he can sit fairly well independently certainly if he remembers to put his hands down rather than fall backwards. He can roll freely, and pivot (sp?) and can stand but not for long. He is beginning to pull himself up on the bannisters. There is no chance of him crawling anytime soon. He has had quite intensive physio to get to the point he is at. And he made all that progress within the last 6 weeks

Oh and he was also a 29 weeker and therefore is expected to have some issues

DD's due date was tomorrow (a year ago) - i only just realised that as i was reading you post!

She can also sit fairly well, for a time independently, then falls over, has started to pull herself up to a sitting position from lying down, and rolls everywhere at hi speed, but no crawling, standing or anything... We have not had any physio.
