One of DS ears is so soft! Ever since birth and I thought it would harden up but if I have him wrapped up his ear is nearly bent over and it doesn't bother him. The other ear hardened (well as much as a little ear can!) I don't want him bending it all over the place and have one sticky out ear :) Do you think it would harden yet or should I mention it to the PHN?

How old is he? Took ds's ears until about 8 weeks post-term to look normal (looked like a pixie before...). But mention it if you're worried- never hurts.

As an aside, I often think watching ds's ears develop was one of the few wonders of the hell of a v premature birth! From weird flaps at 26 weeks to proper, real ears, though by god it took a while.

He's 5 weeks corrected now, just thought it was strange how one ear hardened. Watching his ears move up his head was the strangest thing wasn't it!

Mcdiva my DS had a soft ear for a long time. I used to careful put a hat and make sure his ear would stay inside and wouldn't bend :)
