Will the new government make services caring for premature babies a priority?

Hi all,

just to say that there are only a few weeks left before the Health Secretary sets out his priorities for the NHS 2011/2012.

I have e-mailed my MP (Lynne Featherstone) to tell her to write to Andrew Lansley, the Health Secretary to make sure that care for premature and sick babies is made a priority.

It would be great if as many parents as possible write to their MP, too.

You can e-mail your MP online by clicking here

This action is part of a campaign organised by Bliss - the special care baby charity.

@ hildathebuilder Thank you. This is great. If you get a response could you forward this to [email protected] ?

This would be really great, esspecially as we have quite a few MPs replying saying that there is no evidence to show that services are unsafe.

I am really surprised that so many MPs are not aware of research that suggests that services for premature and sick are not as safe as they could be if recommended standards (for example one to one nursing in intensive care) were met.

Still no reply from my own MP and I have e-mailed nearly two weeks ago....Confused

If anyone out there has not yet e-mailed there MP please do this by clicking here.

Thanks so much for your support.
