To cut a long story short, had a few early miscarriages over the years so went for NHS IVF treatment - was given progesterone suppositories and injections to prepare for the transfer. Transfer was cancelled due to embryo being slow to develop and was told we would have to wait until the new year to await transfer a date. Nothing was said about the progesterone. Just to stop taking it as I guess there would be no point.
I’ve been told that you’re very fertile after ivf stims and we’ve been “trying” this month.
So the question is ….
Would you use the given progesterone supplements after knowing you’ve ovulated to give yourself a good chance of maybe helping a possible pregnancy develop or am I wasting nhs resources on something that might not be?

I’m so sorry about the MCs and that the transfer has been cancelled and Thats you haven’t had any replies.

The Pregnancy Choices section is more about people who have had some news about the baby they are carrying and are after information or personal stories. I wonder of you'll get more responses in the Infertility section?

Hi OP, we had 3 early losses before our second child and as a result I was given progesterone suppositories when I was pregnant again. I had them them I think until after my 12 week scan. I am not sure if they helped but the pregnancy did reault in the birth of our healthy second child. Good luck
