Has anybody had a medical abortion? I’m so scared. The internet is full of horror stories. Can any one ease my mind and heart xx

I had one 10 days ago and it hasn’t been anywhere near as bad as I thought it would. It took around 2-3 hours after taking the 4 tablets for things to start. It was very painful for several hours but manageable with paracetamol and ibuprofen, I was able to sleep that night and go to work as normal the next day. Bleeding was like a very heavy period with clots but fine with maternity pads (I did leak once overnight but think it was the pad moved slightly). Today I was confident that the bleeding had eased off enough to be able to use normal pads instead of maternity. Had some mild cramping for a couple of days after but nothing major.
Emotionally it’s been a bit up and down but that’s to be expected.
how far along are you?

I’m 2 and a half hours in to inserting the first 4 tablets and no bleeding or pain. I’m getting a bit worried now, was it like this for you? I’m only 4 weeks

Hi sorry have just seen this, I think it took a few hours for things to start but no longer than that. Definitely within about 4 hours.
hope you are doing ok.
