Abortion - lighter bleeding

I swallowed the mifepristone on Thursday at 6pm so 24 hours later as advised I inserted vaginally the 4 misoprostol tablets. I had very light cramps and by the end of the 4 hours I only had light bleeding on a tissue so I inserted the other 2. Within about 45 minutes I started bleeding and 2 large stringy black clots came out within 20 minutes of each other along with quite a bit of blood into the toilet bowl. Apart from the blood that came out with the clots, I would say the bleeding has been light to medium and I have barely had any cramps but I have been taking naproxen so maybe that’s why I can’t really feel them. I ended up going to sleep around 1 am last night, woke up at 8 am and went to the toilet, there was only a little bit of blood on the pad. When I am peeing and wiping there is a lot more blood than what I’m seeing on the pad and a lot more blood is going into the toilet bowl but still nowhere near as much as I would expect. Has anybody had an experience like this and it’s still worked? I was only 4 weeks + 6 days so I’m hoping that because I was so early that’s why it’s not as bloody or painful as what I was expecting. I am going to call the after care line at 6 pm today if it continues like this but just looking for some reassurance and hoping that someone else has had a similar successful experience!

Hello. I’m a day behind you, took the misoprostol on Friday morning. On Saturday my bleeding was much lighter, and I left the house and did some bits, but today has come back in full force. I’m also finding it’s worse on the toilet than actually comes out onto the pad. I was 5 weeks and 6 days when the abortion started.
Hope you are ok. I’m finding it a bit tough emotionally.

Thank you so much for sharing with me, yes my bleeding has come back today after about 24 hours of just browny discharge, it’s not very heavy but it’s definitely there fresh red blood which is reassuring, I hope you’re okay xx

I am sure it has worked lovely, it sounds like it for sure. Did you get the special pregnancy test to take in 3 weeks x

Yes I’ll do that in 3 weeks, I also took a clear blue test today and it’s gone down from 3+ weeks which is what it said the day before I took the pills to now 2 - 3 weeks pregnant so hcg is definitely dropping so it seems to have hopefully all worked out xx
