Gender disappointment

I have a 13 month old boy. I had two miscarriages before having him. I’m 17 weeks pregnant and found out it’s boy. I am so disappointed. If one more person tells me to just be grateful, I’ll scream. I was already upset being pregnant this quickly and no I’m just so upset and angry.

Hello @Rhianastasia , I'm sorry you've become pregnant before you were planning to. Am I gathering that if it was a girl you would be happier about the situation? I'm sorry if you feel like no one understands your frustration. However, have you listed the pros and cons of having two boys vs a boy and a girl? At the least you'll be able to use clothing and toys a second time (not that boys and girls can't share these). A good friend of mine has four boys and also wished she could have had a girl. But she loves her boys and taught them to be caring and compassionate, and they take good care of her now that they're grown. Maybe you have a niece or other girl in your life that you can do "girly" things with?

I'm sorry if you just came here to vent and I'm another person saying count your blessings. But I am very sorry for the miscarriages you endured, and hope that things will turn out for the best. Are you still deciding whether to move forward with the pregnancy?
