Accessing medical TOP

Hi
for many reasons and not done easily I sadly feel I should terminate an unexpected pregnancy
I don't want to really but the circumstances are that I really should. I am very sad about this. I have found out late as well and I am now over 12 weeks.
I have had multiple miscarriages and a child death as well as a healthy child. For reasons mainly in my head but which I strongly am stuck to, I would prefer a medical termination.
does anyone know if I can self refer to an out of area hospital? I have seen that some areas can offer this but I don't know how to access it.
Where I live (London) does not seem to offer this and I cannot find a late private clinic either. Thanks

Hi gilliansfoot, I'm not an expert by any means but I believe medical (pill) abortion is done up to 10 weeks, and suction abortion up to about 13 weeks. After that is usually D&C (pulling out with forceps).

I hope that you are not seeking abortion because someone is threating or pushing you into doing it. It is sadly common in this day and age. I hope you are okay and there are lots of kind people here if you need to talk about your reasons/fears/worries. Take good care of yourself.

Hello thank you for your reply
yes it is standard of about that but it seems it's available later than ten weeks within a hospital or clinic setting
I really want that version I am just struggling to work out how to access it
eg Newcastle you can self refer later for it
NICE recommendation is that after ten it is in a hospital/ clinic when it takes place. Seems to be a postcode lottery. Bit stressed out
thanks
