Hello I am hoping you might be able to offer some advice or if anyone has been in this position! broken comdom, two pharmacists said due to where I was in the cycle I couldn’t have the morning after pill as it would not work?! Tried the sexual health clinic they were closed and then the next day at capacity so I went today and basically they said there was no doctors available for the coil and it would probably be too late for that, but still recommended Ella one just incase I ovulated late but unlikely in where I am. I took it in a panic! Now I am scared if I have got pregnant it could be dangerous if something had happened. They did a pregnancy test which was negative but I expected it to be at this stage. I feel like I’ve done all I can and that’s what they said we need to do but now I am so worried I may have done something if it was to be positive. Has anyone been in this position? I was worrying before that I couldn’t get this coil and now I am worrying about what I’ve now taken. Xxx

You’ve got 5 days to get the copper coil fitted. Has it been too long?

@Poster57they didn’t have the staff there to do it and they said they believe it could be too late xx

They can do it as long as it’s within 5 days of the unprotected sex incident. That’s a shame if they can’t get you booked in and you are within that timeframe. It’s not dictated by ovulation - how long ago was it that you ovulated?

i don’t know exactly but I know the broken condom was at a risky time. I guess now I am just more worried they gave me the contraceptive pill potentially knowing it could be too late. If something has now happened I will of course think it’s meant to be, but just now more worried about the pill I took. X

My understanding is that it doesn’t do any harm in that instance. I think you’re ok

Thank you. X

How are you doing, TN? At this point a pregnancy test should tell you the truth. Hoping for the best to ease your troubled mind.
