My first birth was awful. It lasted forever, the staff were awful, I felt completely out of control with anything and ended up in a forceps delivery with an episiotomy. Out of all the women in my NCT group I still couldn’t sit down on my bum and was in pain/ recovery longer than the women that had c sections. I won’t go into detail but things have never been ‘the same’ since.
Pregnant with no.2 now and seriously considering an elective c section. Just want to hear from those that have chose to have an elective section and what went better/ not so well. Thank you 😊

Hi!
I had a traumatic first birth. I’ll never be fully recovered physically. (Something I really wish they’d tell women. I got lots of ‘risks’ of the cs, but no one ever told me of the very real risks of a vaginal delivery. Only after when I was suffering and researching)
I went on to have an elective cs last year. Honestly it was very surreal and amazing. Took it easy first few weeks, and initially kept on top of the pain relief, but I was never in pain really. Just had to take it easier getting up from lying.

lots of love and luck
